Tattoo Number Two

I did my second tattoo today! James, our guest piercer from Edmonton, is leaving tomorrow so I didn't have any time but today to do it. It was kind of a last minute plan, but it turned out awesome! It's still not done, needs some colour, but it's looking good so far! Now I just have to wait until he comes down again to finish it up. I wasn't planning on tattooing a foot any time soon, but it was a lot easier than I had expected. Plus he took it like a trooper! I can't wait to bring in more guinea pigs.

Bye, Bye, Black Death Boners

Here is some picture documentation of The Black Death Boners' second last show. In case you are wondering who they are, they are my friends that are in an awesome local punk band. Their last show is next week, sadly, because the drummer is moving away. The shows that they play are way beyond entertaining and I am very sad that they are calling it quits. However, I am very excited to tattoo four of the members (because the fifth is a pussy) next week! Stay tuned for pictures of that fiasco!

Kawaii!!

I thought Friday would be a good day to get a somewhat spontaneous tattoo done! Usually I would come up with an idea and ponder on it for a couple of months, I'm slightly indecisive. However, I knew that this idea is something that I wanted, and it means a lot to me.

I am very interested in Japanese culture, so I wanted something to reflect that. I collect Maneki Nekos (Japanese lucky cats), and I've always wanted one tattooed on me. And I also really love my cat. She is pretty much like a child to me. I've had her since I was pretty young, and she is always someone I can count on to brighten my day. So, I put the two together to create my new tattoo, which was done by my mentor Dana. This tattoo means so much to me in so many aspects, it couldn't be any more perfect. Check it out!

A Dozen Roses

I just realized today that I wear a lot of roses. Not literally, of course. To be more specific; I have 5 roses on my half sleeve, 5 on the shirt I am currently wearing, one in my hair, and one on my necklace. That's a dozen roses. How cute is that!!??

Anyway, it's not that important, but I figured it was worth mentioning. Also, new favorite band; Baroness. Check them out. If you don't like metal, your ears might bleed. Just a fair warning.
