Nodding my head like yeah...

It might seem like I'm dwelling on the topic since my last post was about Cayley, but it's really because I haven't had the urge to post anything until today, and it just so happens that it's about Cayley. What happened today? Well, a few of us from work drove out to the memorial on the site of the crash and dropped off some flowers and just to get that sort of sense of closure, I guess.

It was a beautiful drive, and the weirdest thing happened as we got close to the site. Right before it, there is a town called Cayley, which is odd enough, but as soon as we were driving past the sign her song came on the radio. And if you're wondering what song that is, it's "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus. It's all she listened to in her car. Now I don't know if it's just coincidence, or a freaky sign, but that song always comes on at the right time. Like this one time, when we went out for her birthday. They kept saying they would play it at the club, but they never did. So as soon as we got into the car and turned on the radio, the song came on. And every time I was just outside of work, for almost a week straight, it would play in the store upstairs. I know you love that song, Cayley, but there are other's out there you could listen to every once in awhile!

Anyway, it was nice just to go out there with a few of us and get that closure. I'm sure we will go again in the future, but we will definitely bring bug spray since there were 10 000 mosquitoes eating us alive! Love you, Cayley, and we miss you!

Cayley's Locket

In memory of our dear friend Cayley, a bunch of friends (and me eventually) from work are getting a tattoo of the same theme; a heart locket and key.

I drew a tattoo idea for Cayley last year, and she loved it! Thing is, she never had the chance to get it done. It was a heart locket with a key, and two roses. Shortly after she passed away, her best friend got the piece done on her ribs, but slightly altered to suit her memories of her three friends.

This week, I've had the pleasure of tattooing this idea on two of my friends from work. Everyone's tattoo will be different, but they will all mean the same thing. I cannot express how much this means to me that everyone is getting this tattoo. Cayley's mom even framed the original sketch that I did and made it the centerpiece of her room.

Now I can't wait to get mine someday. My plan is to do it myself, but we'll see how that goes! For now, here are the two I've done so far. One still needs color!

Hope for the best..

I got a call today while I was at work from my mom with some very unsettling news. My grandpa had a heart attack and had to be lifted to the hospital this afternoon. It was such a shock, my eyes just filled up with tears and I was shaking. He was put into a medically induced coma, after going into cardiac arrest and being revived by paramedics. Tomorrow they will try to wake him and see how he does..

This was extremely unexpected. I mean, he his getting old, but I didn't think he was in any sort of bad condition, especially to have a heart attack out of nowhere. Him and my grandma have been together for so many years, and he takes good care of her. Worse case scenario, who will take care of her? She's not getting any younger. I just feel terrible for my grandma, my mom, and my aunt and uncles. Not to mention my cousin who basically considered them her parents.

I know that we just have to accept it for what it is, after all it is a part of life. My family is strong, and we will be there for each other. All we have to do is be thankful for the times we have had and hope for the best. Always.

Ahoy Sailor

So I'm a huge dork and decided to take photos of my new outfit..

Thank you Zara for being so plentiful in your cute clothes.

Temperance

Yesterday was a long day. Long and boring. My friend was supposed to come in to get a golden snitch tattoo on her foot, but there was some miscommunication and she didn't really end up coming in. Not on time anyway. By the time she came it was too late to start it because I had to work. She is leaving for Mexico in two weeks anyway, so it's probably for the better if we postpone it. So that just resulted me being at work for a full 9 hours, 5 hours more than I had to be there for...laaaame.

I did, however, do a sweet vegan tattoo on my friend Liam the other day! It says "Still Vegan" on his feet, and "Temperance" across his toes. He took it all like a champ. I guess he has been vegan for awhile. I don't know how people do it! I totally respect their dedication. One of my best friends has been a vegetarian for something like 12 years, and a vegan for about 8. Maybe even a little more. I tried being a vegetarian for about a month and I couldn't last that long. That's what you get for being hungover and hanging out at Wendy's, I guess. But I have decided that I could probably live without all meat except for chicken. I think I eat chicken everyday! Well, I don't think I could live without a mama burger from A&W for very long...let's hope they will stick around for a little while longer!

Here is also a cute little spontaneous anchor that Sarah got!
