So. Troy and I went to the mall yesterday so he could exchange his crapped out headphones. We walked into the Sony Store and whilst exchanging said headphones, the clerk asked us, "Did you guys just see Aerosmith?" Troy and looked at each other, confused as to what he meant. I knew they were playing a show either that night or tonight, but then he cleared it up for us, "Steven Tyler was JUST in the store about 5 minutes ago." WHAT!? Troy and I must have just walked past him on our way in. Darn! It would have been so cool to meet him. Then I could brag to my dad about how I met one of America's greatest rock stars. But to honest, if I wasn't particularly looking for him, I probably would not even notice if I bumped into the guy. But now that I know that he was there I wish I did.
I guess there is a cupcake place that just opened up yesterday, and the owner walked up to him and asked if he would try one of their cupcakes. He followed her to the store and ordered a bunch and said he would share them with his band. Not long after that he started to get swamped with people so he escaped the mall.
I told my dad, who works for the local newspaper, about this exciting event (he has been a fan of Aerosmith since a while back), and he saw to it that an article was put in today's paper about it. I bet I made those guys from the Sony store's day after that. Steven Tyler coming into the store AND being in the paper. Definitely not something that happens everyday.
