The Big One

If you're wondering what I have been up to lately, don't get too excited because I have basically been doing the same thing as usual. Except right now I'm working on a very exciting art project! Shane Turgeon, author of Force in the Flesh (as I mentioned here), has asked me to partake in a skate deck art show called The Empire Skates Back where over 30 different tattoo artists from around the world (some of them are HUGE names) each pay their homage to The Empire Strikes Back (it's the 30th anniversary!). It will be held at Celebration V in Florida, a massive Star Wars convention where even the man himself will be attending this year! I can't even believe I'm being a part of this exciting event. I really wish I could actually be there to see it all.

And aside from that, I have been working on a few tattoos, one being my first sleeve. I know it's way too soon for me to even attempt to do one, but this guy is leaving in August and he really wanted me to do it for him. And so far so good! Here is a progress picture of the shading so far. It will be in full color, just with lots of dark shading. It will hopefully be finished in a couple of weeks!

So I guess I have been doing some exciting things lately...
