I'm going to come right out and say it. I love Disney movies. Who doesn't? If you don't, then you have obviously had a lack of a childhood. I remember watching them almost everyday, over and over when I was a kid, so they have really stuck with me. I love watching them now and feeling like I just watched them yesterday, when really it has been years. I still remember the ones I was obsessed with; The Littler Mermaid, The Fox and the Hound, Alice in Wonderland, 101 Dalmatians, The Lion King, the list goes on. But the one that I could not stop watching was Beauty and the Beast. And luckily for me, it was just re-released on dvd!
I just finished watching it tonight and I loved it just as much, if not more, than when I was little. The story is just so tragic but so happy at the same time, it's just one of those ones that makes you want to be in a fairy tale. I am also a girl and my heart melts for that kind of stuff. But it really makes me miss classic fairy tales. Now it's all about technology and action, and everything is so cheesey, and not even a good cheesey. A total different generation, that's for sure. And I just wish Disney movies would be a little longer sometimes. They seem so long when you're a kid, but when you're older it's over in and hour and a half. And I also wish they still drew all the animation instead of using computers. It's such a lost art. And stop putting movies back into the stupid Disney Vault! I don't want to wait years and years for the next classic to come out!
I thought this was a very cool depiction of the classic story.
